OSHAWA, Ont. - Yannick Weber had a natural hat trick as the Kitchener Rangers posted a convincing 8-3 victory over the Oshawa Generals in Ontario Hockey League on Thursday night.
Kitchener blew the game open with four second-period goals in a four minute, 40 second span before 3,930 disappointed fans at the General Motors Centre.
Justin Azevedo added a goal and two assists for Kitchener.
T. J. Battani, Mike Mascioli, Nick Spaling and Scott Timmins also scored for the Rangers, who improved to 13-2-0-0 on the season.
Brett MacLean and Eric Regan scored for the Generals (9-5-0-1).
Kitchener dominated on the scoreboard and shot clock, peppering Oshawa netminder Jakub Kovar with 47 shots, while the Generals directed 26 at Josh Unice.
