Yannick Weber and Nazim Kadri lead Kitchener over Plymouth 6-4 @NHLdotcom

PLYMOUTH, Mi. - Yannick Weber and Nazim Kadri each had two goals and an assist as the Kitchener Rangers downed the Plymouth Whalers 6-4 in Game Two of their Ontario Hockey League Western Conference Quarter-Final series Saturday evening.

The top-seeded Rangers now lead the best-of-seven series 2-0, with Game Three back in Kitchener Monday evening.

Matt Halischuk scored on a penalty shot midway through the second period, with Mike Duco netting the other Kitchener goal.

Plymouth, who had failed penalty-shot efforts by Chris Terry and Kaine Geldart, were paced offensively by defenseman Christian Steingraber, who had a goal and an assist. Terry, Patrick Lee and A.J. Jenks added singles.

Rangers goalie Steve Mason earned the win making 36 saves. Plymouth starter Jeremy Smith yielded all six Kitchener goals before being lifted early in the third period in favour of Matt Hackett. Hackett turned aside all ten shots he faced.
