SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Geordie Wudrick scored the winning goal with 20 seconds left in regulation as the Swift Current Broncos notched four unanswered third-period goals to earn a 7-6 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday night in the Western Hockey League.
Swift Current erased period deficits of 3-1 and 6-3 with their four-goal, 26-shot outburst in the final period, with the comeback capped by Wudrick's hat trick goal.
Dillon Wagner tied the game at 6-6 with 6:04 left in regulation, and Cody Eakin began the comeback with back-to-back power-play goals in the opening 2:35 of the third.
Wudrick, who now has six goals on the season, scored goals 22 seconds apart in the second period to help cut into a Warriors 5-1 advantage.
Justin Dowling also scored for the Broncos (5-3-0).
Jason Bast paced Moose Jaw's offence with his team leading ninth goal of the season and three assists. Quinton Howden added a pair of goals for the Warriors (5-4-0), with single markers by Jesse Paradis, Ryan Stanton, and Travis Hamonic.
Alexandre Sirard improved his record to 2-1 in goal for the Broncos, stopping all 10 shots he faced during his third-period appearance. Starting goaltender Morgan Clark allowed six goals on 28 shots during the opening two periods.
Warriors netminder Brandon Glover suffered his first loss of the season after giving up seven goals on 45 shots.
