Describe your job in 2-3 sentences: I work alongside executives within the hockey operations department in multiple areas, with a focus on prospect development. I report to assistant general manager Nelson Emerson. In addition to the work with prospect development, I am also involved with designated assignments within the hockey operations department and participate in various organizational activities.
What was the best piece of career advice you've ever been given, or what advice do you like to give others?
You need to be passionate about what you are doing. Be willing to work hard to have success.
What was your first-ever job, and did it prepare you for the work you do today?
I worked at a bank for a summer job while out of school when I was 16. Working a 9-5 job at such a young age while playing a sport, I had to be very disciplined with my time and prioritize what was important.
What is a quality you admire most in others (personal or professional)?
Being genuine. Genuine, positive people make teams and working environments so much better.
