Describe your job in 2-3 sentences: I work as part of the leadership group Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald leans on for key input, strategy and decision making, which includes roster construction at the pro and amateur levels, transactions, hockey personnel decisions, team operations, facilities management, budgets and as part of the team's management travel party. Every day is different, driven by the critical dates calendar.
What motivates you to keep pushing and be successful?
My motivation is intrinsic as I have high standards and wants from myself and the team, knowing there is always room to be better and grow. My standards and wants are creating a legacy for the Devils on and off the ice including the obvious of Stanley Cup Championships but also working in the community, setting an incredible environment and culture and continuing to increase diversity in team landscapes.
If you could instantly become an expert in anything, what would it be and why?
Science and research (cancer). There are so many different types and no real answers on how, why or who it chooses, so I would love to learn the intricacies and be able to help find a cure as it has truly impacted everyone. I actually don't like blood so it would be an interesting combo!
