WOLF NAMED CHL GOALTENDER OF THE YEAR

Flames prospect Dustin Wolf has been named the Canadian Hockey League's Goaltender of the Year for the 2019-20 season.

The California product went 34-10-2 with a 1.88 GAA, a .935 save percentage, and nine shutouts this past season.

"I want to thank the CHL for the Goaltender of the Year Award, it's a really big honour," Wolf told the CHL. "I'd like to thank the coaching staff and everybody out in Everett. Additionally, our goalie coach James Jensen, for the continuous support throughout the season. I'd also like to thank my parents for the awesome support they give me each and every day, and finally I'd like to thank the fans for all the support they give us each and every game. It's a real pleasure playing out in Everett and I hope to see you guys next season."

In addition to being named the CHL's Goaltender of the Year, Wolf was also named the WHL's Goaltender of the Year and USA Hockey's Goaltender of the Year.

The goaltender, who was selected by the Flames in the seventh round (214th overall) in the 2019 NHL Draft, has appeared in 127 regular season games for Everett, recording a career 88-31-6 record with a 1.85 GAA and a .934 save percentage. He has 20 shutouts in his junior career, which is currently tied for fifth all-time in WHL history.

The Flames signed Wolf to an entry-level deal on May 1.
