Winter Hawks beat Kamloops despite 55 saves from Blazers goalie Groenheyde @NHLdotcom

KAMLOOPS - Forward Chris Francis scored at 2:49 of overtime to give the Portland Winter Hawks a 4-3 Western Hockey League victory over the Kamloops Blazers on Sunday evening.

Spencer Bennett, Travis Bobbee and Ryan Johansen scored for the Winter Hawks (5-1-0) in regulation, while JC Lipon, with his first WHL goal, Shayne Wiebe and C.J. Stretch scored for Kamloops (5-1-2).

Kamloops goaltender Jon Groenheyde stopped 55 shots, while Kurtis Mucha, making his 200th regular-season appearance with Portland, turned aside 28.
