Rodgers WPG tweet

The Winnipeg Jets are adding a key piece after the NHL Trade Deadline -- or so they say.

About an hour after Aaron Rodgers said he has "every intention of playing for the Jets," the Winnipeg social media count got to work, posting an image of the NFL superstar quarterback in a Jets jersey, with a stick and the words, "Confirming Aaron Rodgers report:"

We're pretty sure the Green Bay Packers great meant the New York Jets of the NFL, but maybe the Winnipeg Jets are on to something here. Afterall, Rogers, who is also know to host "Jeopardy!" in his spare time, had just emerged from a four-day darkness retreat in Ashland, Oregon.
Maybe, just maybe, he found his inner Teemu Selanne while in the dark and is ready to join Mark Scheifele, Blake Wheeler and Connor Hellebuyck in Winnipeg.
So though he's likely end up playing for the J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets, would anyone be surprised if he showed up North of the border?
