SEATTLE --Blake Wheeler scored his 300th NHL goal with 5.2 seconds remaining in the third period, and the Winnipeg Jets completed the comeback in overtime for a 3-2 win against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena on Sunday.

Wheeler scored on a rebound in the crease after Kraken defenseman Carson Soucy was penalized for roughing on Pierre-Luc Dubois with 26 seconds left.
"It was nice to get a good bounce and get a reward," Wheeler said. "I thought our team played really well, and it would have been a shame to leave here without getting anything. So to push to overtime was a good accomplishment for us."
Mark Scheifele then converted on a 2-on-1 with Josh Morrissey 54 seconds into overtime to give Winnipeg the win.
"I was pretty exhausted," Scheifele said. "I don't know if had any legs the rest of the night, but what a fantastic pass from [Morrissey]. … It was an amazing pass by him, and I was lucky to be there."

David Rittich made 19 saves in his first start since Oct. 28 for the Jets (9-4-1), who were coming off a 3-2 loss at the Calgary Flames on Saturday but are 7-1-1 in their past nine.
"It's not quite how we drew it up, but we'll certainly take it," Winnipeg coach Rick Bowness said. "When we talked to the guys before the game, we said no excuses. It's a tough schedule. We played last night in Calgary and then come back at 5 o'clock today, but there's no excuses and we're going to find a way to win. Good teams find a way to win, and we did it tonight."
Jordan Eberle and Brandon Tanev scored, and Martin Jones made 27 saves for the Kraken (8-5-3), who have lost two straight (0-1-1) after winning five in a row.
Seattle was short-handed seven times in the game, allowing two power-play goals.
"That stinks, and just seven penalties, myself included, it's just not understanding the situation," Eberle said. "That hurts just when you have the game, and obviously Jones is playing well back there, you keep giving them opportunities. Yeah, that hurts. Those are never ones that you, you know, they're tough to get over."

WPG@SEA: Wheeler evens the score late with 300th goal

Eberle gave Seattle a 1-0 lead at 7:30 of the first period, knocking a rebound five-hole on Rittich during a 5-on-3 power play.
Scheifele tied it 1-1 at 10:52 of the second period when he scored from the left circle after Sam Gagner's initial shot caromed to him off the end boards.
"It's one of those games where coming into it, it's a set-up game," Wheeler said. "You've played back to back in less than 24 hours and changed time zones, you spend an hour at the border last night, so there were a lot of things going against us, but that's where you find out about your team, and we stayed in the fight, and I thought we played better tonight than we did last night."

WPG@SEA: Scheifele fires in a shot on the power play

Tanev put Seattle ahead 2-1 at 7:02 of the third period. After receiving the puck from Oliver Bjorkstrand, Tanev entered the zone with speed, cut to the high slot and beat Rittich glove side.
"In the third, obviously, we get a big goal from 'Tanny,' and then you just keep giving them opportunities," Eberle said. "I can't take that penalty (hooking at 16:39), we take another penalty, and then obviously overtime, anything can happen. It's just, those are the ones that really, you never know what point is going to get you into the playoffs, and when you make mistakes and keep giving good teams like that opportunities, that's what's going to happen."
