Jets selling charity holiday cards with twist

Blake Wheeler, Mark Scheifele show off throwback pictures to support autism @NHLdotcom

It's holiday card season, and in the spirit the Winnipeg Jets are giving fans the chance to buy the rarest of trading cards for a good cause.

Jets wives and girlfriends are selling holiday cards with artwork inspired by the players to support Can Do People, a Winnipeg-based organization that provides programs for people with autism.

Tweet from @NHLJets: #NHLJets Holiday Cards in support of @candowinnipeg are on sale at @JetsGearStore locations, and on the @mtscentre concourse tonight!

Some cards, like those of forwards Blake Wheeler and Mark Scheifele, feature awesome throwback pictures of the players. Others are drawings of the players, like Mathieu Perreault and Nikolaj Ehlers, created by the players or members of their families.

There are four packs of seven cards, which cost $14.99 per pack. Fans in Winnipeg can purchase packs at the two Jets Gear shops or on the concourse at MTS Centre at the Jets game against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.
