Winnipeg aims for fourth straight win; New York forward Bailey one point from 400 in NHL

The Game

The Winnipeg Jets will seek their fourth straight win when they play the New York Islanders at Barclays Center on Tuesday.

It's the first of eight remaining home games for the Islanders this season at Barclays Center. Their 20 other home games will be played at Nassau Coliseum.


Players to watch

Jets center Mark Scheifele was named NHL First Star of the Week on Monday. He has nine points (five goals, four assists) during a five-game point streak.

Islanders forward Josh Bailey is one point from 400 in the NHL.

Status report

Jets coach Paul Maurice said Copp isn't "feeling great, so we'll hold him out." Copp will be replaced by Lemieux and will be evaluated when the Jets return to Winnipeg on Wednesday. … Kulikov will be re-evaluated Friday before the Jets play the St. Louis Blues. He hasn't played since Nov. 9. … Lehner will not be available for the Islanders. "He tweaked a little something," coach Barry Trotz said. "Nothing to be concerned of. Just won't be in tonight. A little bit precautionary I guess." With Lehner unavailable, Gibson was recalled from Bridgeport of the American Hockey League and forward Stephen Gionta was sent to Bridgeport.
