Logan Stanley contract

Logan Stanley signed a two-year, $1.8 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday. It has an average annual value of $900,000.

The 23-year-old defenseman, who was a restricted free agent, scored three points (two goals, one assist) in eight Stanley Cup Playoff games last season, his first in the NHL. He led Jets defensemen in playoff goals, and his plus-6 rating led Winnipeg.
Stanley scored four points (one goal, three assists) in 37 regular-season games.
Selected by Winnipeg in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft (No. 18), Stanley made his NHL debut Jan. 18.
The Jets acquired defenseman Nate Schmidt in a trade with the Vancouver Canucks on July 27 for a third-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. Defensemen Tucker Poolman (Canucks) and Derek Forbort (Boston Bruins) each left as a free agent, and
Jordie Benn
remains an unrestricted free agent.
