JETS (0-2-0) at OILERS (1-1-0)

9 p.m. ET; SNO, TSN3, NHL.TV

The Game

Edmonton Oilers goalie Cam Talbot will look to rebound when he makes his third straight start against the Winnipeg Jets at Rogers Place. Talbot was pulled after allowing three goals on seven shots in a 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.

Goalie Connor Hellebuyck will make his first start of the season for the Jets after Steve Mason gave up 11 goals in his first two games.

Players to watch

Oilers center Connor McDavid did not have a point Saturday after his hat trick against the Calgary Flames in the season opener.

Jets right wing Patrik Laine has two points (one goal, one assist) in his first two games. Laine had 66 points (37 goals, 29 assists) in 75 games last season.

They said it

"I think last year I proved that I have that ability [to bounce back] and I'm looking to do that again tonight. The last game wasn't my best outing and I'm looking to continue the trend I had last year and have a good bounce-back game tonight." -- Talbot

"We're not happy about it [0-2-0 start], but that's the way hockey is, it's two out of 82 games. We know we have to better, and tonight is another chance against a pretty good challenge in Edmonton and we definitely have to be ready for it for a full 60 minutes." -- Jets center Mark Scheifele
