Nathan Beaulieu was traded to the Winnipeg Jets by the Buffalo Sabres on Monday for a sixth-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft.

The 26-year-old defenseman has seven points (three goals, four assists) in 30 games this season, his second with the Sabres. Buffalo acquired him from the Montreal Canadiens on June 17, 2017 for a third-round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. He was selected by the Canadiens in the first round (No. 17) of the 2011 NHL Draft.

Beaulieu has 76 points (11 goals, 65 assists) in 314 NHL games and four assists in 17 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
Earlier Monday, the Jets acquired center Kevin Hayes from the New York Rangers, forward Matt Hendricks from the Minnesota Wild and defenseman Bogdan Kiselevich from the Florida Panthers in separate trades.
The Jets (37-21-4) are first in the Central Division, one point ahead of the Nashville Predators. They host the Wild on Tuesday (8 p.m. ET; TSN3, FS-N, FS-WI, NHL.TV).
