Wilson could miss Predators' visit to Panthers

Season series: Rookie Filip Forsberg scored in the fourth round of a shootout to give the Nashville Predators a 3-2 win against the Florida Panthers at Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 22. Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo made a season-high 48 saves. Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne made 28 saves.

Predators team scope: Forward Colin Wilson sustained an upper-body injury in the first period of a 3-2 win against the New York Rangers on Saturday and did not return; he is day-to-day. Wilson had three points in the prior two games and 16 in 15 games in 2015. Backup goalie Carter Hutton could start; he is 4-4-4 with a 2.72 goals-against average and .900 save percentage in 13 games. Rinne made 30 saves Saturday for his League-leading 30th win in his second start since returning from a knee injury. He allowed four goals on 25 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday. The Predators are 6-1-1 in their past eight games against the Panthers. Nashville will begin a four-game homestand Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Panthers team scope: Forward Brandon Pirri has scored a goal in four straight games, including in a 3-2 comeback victory against the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday. Pirri has seven points in his past seven games. "We have so much talent here that if you're not playing well you're not going to be in the lineup. So you have to make every day count," Pirri told the Sun Sentinel. "In practice, guys are working hard so they can stay in the lineup. In games, you have to produce." Luongo made 29 saves and is 19-13-8 with a 2.46 GAA and .918 save percentage; he is 16-13-4 with a 2.18 GAA and .927 save percentage in 34 games against Nashville. Florida wraps up a three-game homestand Tuesday against Anaheim.
