NEW YORK / TORONTO - - The National Hockey League today announced that superstar pop-punk songstress and TikTok heavy-hitter Willow will be a featured performer for the 2022 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic™ outdoor game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Sabres on Sunday, March 13, at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, home of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Willow's performance from the TikTok Tailgate Stage will be livestreamed on @NHL on TikTok starting at 2:45 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live at 4 p.m. ET on TNT, Sportsnet and TVA Sports.

The pop-punk phenom continues to make waves on and off TikTok. After shaking things up with her pivot from R&B to power-chord laden rock and sparking the creation of over 1M videos on TikTok with her track "Meet Me At Our Spot," Willow is bringing her emo magnetism to the NHL. Her performance on the TikTok Tailgate Stage is part of the collaboration between TikTok and the NHL to deliver original content and unique experiences to TikTok's global community.

As previously announced, GRAMMY Award-winning artist Alessia Cara will headline entertainment for the NHL Heritage Classic™ with a first intermission performance. Additional game day plans will be announced in the coming days.
This year's matchup will mark the sixth NHL Heritage Classic™, a game with roots dating back to Nov. 22, 2003, when the Edmonton Oilers hosted the Montreal Canadiens in the first NHL regular-season outdoor game. The Maple Leafs-Sabres matchup will be the 35th outdoor NHL game and third one this season.
