Who better to kick off Hockey Is For Everyone night?

The legend himself, Willie O'Ree, was on hand in Arizona for the Coyotes celebration.
The NHL's Director of Cause Marketing and Ambassador for Hockey Is For Everyone, dropped the ceremonial first puck before the Coyotes played the Buffalo Sabres.
O'Ree also held a pregame street hockey clinic for kids outside Gila River Arena.

The former Boston Bruins forward was the first black player to play in the NHL, making his debut on January 18, 1958.
Hockey Is For Everyone is a month-long NHL initiative focusing on positive social change and fostering more inclusive communities.
