Williams nets two as Marlies win 5-2 over Rochester Americans

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Marlies winger Jeremy Williams scored two goals as Toronto defeated the Rochester Americans 5-2 in the American Hockey League on Wednesday.

Kris Newbury scored a goal - his fifth of the year - and added two assists, while Tim Stapleton and Boyd Devereaux scored singles for Toronto (5-7-2), which was 2-for-5 with the man advantage.

Rory Fitzpatrick and Stefan Meyer netted goals Rochester, which dropped to 2-14-1 with the loss.

Justin Pogge made 26 saves for the win, while Americans goalie Chris Beckford-Tseu stopped 27 of 32.
