William-Karlsson

LAS VEGAS --William Karlsson will be in the lineup for the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Washington Capitals at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, SN, TVAS).
The Golden Knights forward took part in the optional morning skate on Thursday morning. He was not on the ice Wednesday, raising questions about his availability for Game 5.

"I feel good. Ready to go," Karlsson said. "[It was] a maintenance day. Rest up, body and soul."
Washington leads the best-of-7 series 3-1, one victory from the first Stanley Cup in its history.
Karlsson has 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 19 Stanley Cup Playoff games. He led Vegas with 78 points (43 goals, 35 assists) in the regular season and was one of two players on the Golden Knights to play in all 82 regular-season games (defenseman Colin Miller).
There was speculation forwards David Perron and William Carrier could be in the lineup for Game 5; each did not skate Thursday morning, and forwards Ryan Reaves and Ryan Carpenter were on the ice for the optional skate.
Perron was scratched in Game 4 and Carrier (undisclosed) hasnt played since Game 5 of the Western Conference Second Round against the San Jose Sharks.
Vegas coach Gerard Gallant would not address lineup changes after the skate.
Earlier, Golden Knights defenseman Luca Sbisa spoke about what the team needs to do to extend the series against the Capitals, specifically, preventing backdoor plays.
"As a defenseman, you've got to have your head on a swivel," he said. "They've got guys, they find the open guys. Just make sure you take the backdoor away. [Marc-Andre Fleury] is the best goalie in the League. He's going to stop the first shot. Take those other options away."
Karlsson was asked if there was anything the Golden Knights have learned to assist them in preparing for what could be their final playoff game.
He paused and said, "Just that the fat lady hasn't sung yet."
