ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -Minnesota Wild star Marian Gaborik will have surgery on his injured left hip.
The Wild said on Friday that Gaborik is scheduled to have surgery on Monday and is expected to be sidelined about 10 weeks.
The team called Gaborik's injury a "deficiency" in his hip that has caused his chronic left groin pain.
The star right winger has missed 30 of 36 games this season. Since the league lockout in 2005, he has missed 86 games because of upper-leg injuries.
Gaborik is the last original member of the Wild.
