Zach Parise to miss at least one game for Wild

Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise is likely to miss at least one game with an eye injury but will not be out long term, coach Bruce Boudreau said Wednesday.
"His eye looks pretty black and blue, but he can see and he's fine as far as that goes," Boudreau told the Wild website. "A little sore in his upper body, but I don't think he's going to be out for a long period of time."

Parise was injured when he was high-sticked by Tom Wilson of the Washington Capitals during their game Tuesday. The stick blade went under Parise's visor and he then collided with Washington's Jay Beagle while falling to the ice.
The Wild said the eye is swollen and Parise was to have tests performed Wednesday.

Minnesota, which has clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, has six regular-season games remaining, including Thursday against the Ottawa Senators (8 p.m. ET; FS-WI, FS-N+, RDS2, TSN5, NHL.TV). The Wild next play Saturday at the Nashville Predators and Sunday against the Colorado Avalanche.
"It wouldn't surprise me if after the weekend [Zach's] ready to go," Boudreau said.
Minnesota (44-24-8) trails the Chicago Blackhawks by nine points for first place in the Central Division and led Nashville by seven points for third place.
Parise has 37 points (17 goals, 20 assists) in 64 games this season, with six points (one goal, five assists) in his past seven games.
