ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Minnesota Wild center Mikko Koivu was a late scratch for the game Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings at Xcel Energy Center.
The Minnesota captain was pulled from the lineup after participating in warm-ups. The Wild said Koivu is day-to-day with an eye injury.

It's the first game Koivu has missed the season. He has 14 goals and 33 assists in 77 games.
With Koivu out, Erik Haula is centering the Wild's second line. Ryan Carter assumes Haula's spot on the fourth line.
The Wild could clinch a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday. With 95 points, they hold the first wild card into the playoffs from the Western Conference.
