ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -Pavol Demitra and Mark Parrish each had two goals to help the Minnesota Wild beat the St. Louis Blues 7-0 on Wednesday night.
Linemates Brian Rolston, Eric Belanger and Pierre-Marc Bouchard combined for nine points in the win. Rolston had two goals and an assist, Belanger had one goal and two assists and Bouchard had three assists for Minnesota, which has won four straight.
Kim Johnsson had two assists, and Niklas Backstrom stopped 18 shots for the Wild, who played most of their projected regular season lineup.
St. Louis, which has lost four of its five preseason games, sat many of its projected starters, including Brad Boyes, Eric Brewer, Paul Kariya, Lee Stempniak, Keith Tkachuk and Doug Weight.
Minnesota scored all but one of its goals in the second period.
Belanger beat Manny Legace with a wrist shot from the slot at 3:12 on the power play, before the Wild scored three times in 1 minute, 43 seconds.
Parrish knocked home a rebound on the power play at 5:58, Demitra scored on the power play at 7:24 and Rolston scored on a tap in 17 seconds later. Rolston took a perfect pass from Belanger, who was the recipient of a touch pass from Bouchard along the right boards.
Parrish added a power-play goal midway through the period and Rolston and Bouchard perfectly executed a 2-on-1 before the period was over. Demitra added a power-play goal in the third period.
