WHL Roundup: Wong scores twice as streaking Hurricanes down Tigers 5-2 @NHLdotcom

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Tyler Wong had two goals and an assist as the Lethbridge Hurricanes extended their winning streak to six games with a 5-2 victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.

Giorgio Estephan had a goal and two assists for the Hurricanes (26-11-0), who moved two points clear of the idle Calgary Hitmen for first place in the Central Division.

Arvin Atwal rounded out the scoring for Lethbridge.

Matt Bradley and Chad Butcher scored for Medicine Hat (12-20-4).

Both goaltenders dealt with a lot of pucks, as Stuart Skinner made 43 stops for Lethbridge while Nick Schneider stopped 30 shots for the Tigers.

Wheat Kings 6 Warriors 5

BRANDON, Man. ? Braylon Shmyr's hat trick led the Wheat Kings over Moose Jaw.

Tyler Coulter, Nolan Patrick and Tim McGauley also scored for Brandon (23-11-3).

Marc McNulty scored twice for the Warriors (18-13-5). Dryden Hunt, Jesse Shynkaruk and Ryan Bowen had the other goals.

Broncos 3 Raiders 2

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. ? Artyom Minulin scored in overtime to lead the Broncos over Prince Albert.

Cavin Leth and Max Lajoie also scored for Swift Current (11-21-4).

Reid Gardiner and Jesse Lees replied for the Raiders (21-11-4).

Pats 3 Blades 1

REGINA ??? Adam Brooks scored the short-handed winner to lead the Pats over Saskatoon.

Sam Steel and Adam Berg had the other goals for Regina (16-16-5).

Connor Gay countered for the Blades (13-19-3).

Americans 5 Winterhawks 1

KENNEWICK, Wash. ??? Beau McCue scored twice to lead Tri-City over Portland.

Vladislav Lukin, Parker Wotherspoon and Jordan Topping also counted for the Americans (14-19-2).

Evan Weinger scored for the Winterhawks (17-16-1).

Thunderbirds 2 Chiefs 1

KENT, Wash. ??? Keegan Kolesar scored the winner early in the third period as Seattle edged Spokane.

Kolesar's goal came just 11 seconds after Kailer Yamamoto had tied the game for the Chiefs (18-14-4).

Nolan Volcan had the other goal for the Thunderbirds (20-13-3).
