WHL Roundup: Noah Gregor has four points as Warriors beat Blades

SASKATOON - Noah Gregor had a goal and three assists and Brody Willms made 41 saves as the Moose Jaw Warriors beat the Saskatoon Blades 7-4 on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Dryden Hunt, Brayden Point and Brett Howden scored once and had an assist each for the Warriors (9-5-3), who snapped a three-game losing skid. Jesse Shynkaruk, Blake Bargar and Nikita Popugaev rounded out the attack.

Nick Zajac had a goal and two assists for Saskatoon (7-7-3) with Josh Uhrich, Cameron Hausinger and Schael Higson adding the others.

Nik Amundrud started in net for the Blades but was lifted after turning aside 29-of-36 shots in 49:22. Brock Hamm stopped all seven shots he faced in relief.

Moose Jaw was 2 for 10 on the power play with Saskatoon converting once on five opportunities with the man advantage.

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. ? Rylan Toth stopped all 34 shots he faced as Red Deer won its third straight by blanking the Raiders.

Haydn Fleury, Evan Polei, Grayson Pawlenchuk and Adam Musil scored for the Rebels (13-5-0).

Rylan Parenteau turned away 35 shots for Prince Albert (12-4-2).

BRANDON, Man. ??? Alex Forsberg and Dante Hannoun scored in the second period as Victoria ended the Wheat Kings' three-game winning streak.

Tyler Soy and Matthew Phillips supplied the rest of the offence for the Royals (13-5-1).

Ivan Provorov found the back of the net for Brandon (11-4-2) in the first period.

CALGARY ??? Brandon Baddock and Brett Pollock scored late in the first period to lead Edmonton past the Hitmen.

Lane Bauer and Branden Klatt added third-period goals for the Oil Kings (6-9-3).

Jackson Houck chipped in with a goal in the second for Calgary (9-9-1).

CRANBROOK, B.C. ??? Luke Philp scored at 2:14 of overtime as the Ice slipped past Medicine Hat.

River Beattie forced extra time with a goal late in the third period for Kootenay (4-12-2). Dallas Hines and Matt Alfaro also scored for the Ice.

Alex Mowbray struck twice with Mark Rassell also chipping in during the third period for the Tigers (5-6-3).

HURRICANES 5 THUNDERBIRDS 2

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. ??? Giorgio Estephan and Arvin Atwal scored in the third period as the Hurricanes downed Seattle to snap a three-game losing streak.

Cory Millette, Ryley Lindgren and Egor Babenko rounded out the attack for Lethbridge (11-5-0).

Ryan Gropp and Alexander True had goals for the Thunderbirds (9-6-1), who have now lost four in a row.

PORTLAND, Ore. ??? Nick Merkley had a goal and three assists and Tyson Baillie scored twice as Kelowna edged the Winterhawks.

Calvin Thurkauf and Rodney Southam supplied the rest of the Rockets' (12-5-0) offence. Kelowna has now won three straight.

Caleb Jones, Conor MacEachern, Blake Heinrich and Keoni Texeira scored for Portland (7-8-0).

VANCOUVER ??? Jake Kryski had the winner in the third period as Kamloops handed the Giants their seventh loss in a row.

Matt Needham also found the back of the net for the Blazers (7-8-0), who won their fourth straight.

Radovan Bondra tied the game at 1-1 just 13 seconds into the third for Vancouver (4-9-3).

EVERETT, Wash. ??? Kevin Davis scored his first of the year in overtime as the Silvertips got past Prince George.

Dawson Leedahl opened the scoring at 4:53 of the third period for Everett (7-4-1).

Brogan O'Brien had the lone goal for the Cougars (8-6-1).
