WHL Roundup: Gutierrez, Millette both score twice as Hurricanes down Rebels

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Justin Gutierrez and Cory Millette both scored twice as the Lethbridge Hurricanes downed the Red Deer Rebels 6-2 on Saturday night in Western Hockey League action.

Darian Skeoch and Barrett Sheen also chipped in for the Hurricanes (19-10-0), who scored four times in the third period. Jayden Sittler made 22 saves in net.

Conner Bleackley and Presten Kopeck had goals for Red Deer (19-9-0), which had a three-game winning streak snapped. Rylan Toth took the loss after turning aside 26-of-31 shots in 49:45. Trevor Martin kicked out 4-of-5 shots in 10:15 of relief.

Lethbridge went 2 for 6 on the power play while the Rebels converted once on four chances.

WARRIORS 4 PATS 3 (SO)

MOOSE JAW, Sask. ? Dryden Hunt scored the only goal in the shootout as the Warriors slipped past Regina.

Jesse Shynkaruk, Jayden Halbgewachs and Nikita Popugaev supplied the offence in regulation for Moose Jaw (15-9-5), which won its third in a row.

Sam Steel, Austin Wagner and Lane Zablocki had goals for the Pats (14-11-3).

WHEAT KINGS 5 BLADES 3

BRANDON, Man. ??? Tim McGauley had two goals and two assists as the Wheat Kings toppled Saskatoon.

Reid Duke also struck twice for Brandon (17-8-3), with Tanner Kaspick adding the other.

Cameron Hebig, Wyatt Sloboshan and Nolan Red scored for the Blades (10-15-3).

Duke was later ejected at 18:37 of the second period after a major penalty for charging.

EDMONTON ??? Brandon Baddock scored the winner late in the third period as the Oil Kings edged Swift Current.

Tyler Robertson had a power-play goal in the first for Edmonton (12-14-3), which won its fourth straight.

Tyler Adams found the back of the net for the Broncos (8-17-3).

KAMLOOPS, B.C. ??? Max Gerlach and Mark Rassell both scored twice as Medicine Hat held off the Blazers.

Cole Sanford rounded out the attack for the Tigers (8-16-3), who snapped a six-game skid.

Deven Sideroff had a pair of goals for Kamloops (12-10-4), with Collin Shirley and Jermaine Loewen adding the others. Matt Needham chipped in with three helpers.

EVERETT, Wash. ??? Patrick Bajkov and Matt Fonteyne had a goal and an assist each as the Silvertips snapped Vancouver's three-game winning streak.

MacKenzie Dwyer scored the winner for Everett (15-9-2) in the second period.

Tyler Benson had a power-play goal for the Giants (8-17-4).

VICTORIA ??? Matthew Phillps struck twice as the Royals got past Kootenay for their third straight win.

Roman Dymacek opened the scoring for the Ice (6-23-2) early in the first period.

KELOWNA, B.C. ??? Dillon Dube had a pair of goals as the Rockets doubled up Portland.

Nick Merkley and Joe Gatenby supplied the rest of the offence for Kelowna (22-6-1), which won its third in a row.

Jack Dougherty and Colton Veloso scored for the Winterhawks (13-14-0).
