WHL Roundup: Dante Hannoun scores twice as Royals beat Warriors 5-2 @NHL

MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Dante Hannoun had a pair of goals to lead the Victoria Royals to a 5-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Wednesday night in Western Hockey League action.

Alex Forsberg added a goal and two assists for the Royals (12-5-1), with Matthew Phillips and Tyler Soy rounding out the attack. Coleman Vollrath made 17 saves for the win in net.

Noah Gregor and Dryden Hunt had goals for Moose Jaw (8-5-3), which got 26 stops from Zach Sawchenko.

Victoria scored twice on five power-play chances while the Warriors were 1 for 3.



PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. ? Reid Gardiner struck twice late in the third period as the Raiders edged Calgary.

Matteo Gennaro opened the scoring early in the second for Prince Albert (12-3-2).

Jakob Stukel and Radel Fazleev had goals in the third for the Hitmen (9-8-1).



EDMONTON ? Brandon Baddock had a pair of goals as the Oil Kings doubled up Seattle.

Tyler Robertson and Brett Pollock supplied the rest of the Edmonton (5-9-3) offence.

Ryan Gropp and Alexander True scored for the Thunderbirds (9-5-1).
