WHL Roundup: Chase Lang leads Calgary Hitmen past Brandon Wheat Kings 6-2

CALGARY - Chase Lang scored twice to lead the Calgary Hitmen past the Brandon Wheat Kings 6-2 on Sunday in Western Hockey League play.

Adam Tambellini, Terrell Draude and Radel Fazleev had a goal and an assist each for Calgary (4-3-1), while Beck Malenstyn added some insurance with an empty-net goal.

Mack Shields made 28 saves for the win.

Peter Quenneville and Braylon Shmyr replied for Brandon (6-1-1), while Jordan Papirny stopped 23-of-28 shots.

The Hitmen went 0 for 3 on the power play and the Wheat Kings were 1 for 3 on the man advantage.
