Victor Rask scored a pair of power-play goals and added an assist as the Calgary Hitmen edged the Swift Current Broncos 5-4 in Western Hockey League action Wednesday.
Spencer Humphries had a goal and two assists for the Hitmen (38-23-3), who have won two straight games and six of their past seven. Greg Chase and Alex Gogolev also scored, while Brady Brassart had two assists.
Christian Magnus had two goals for the Broncos (23-34-8), who have gone 0-2-2 in their past four games. Brad Hoban and Richard Nedomlel also scored, while Taylor Vause had a pair of assists.
Chris Driedger made 18 saves in the Calgary net to record his 20th win of the season, while Swift Current goalie Austin Smith stopped 33-of-38 shots he faced at the other end of the ice.
The Hitmen scored four goals on six power-play opportunities, while the Broncos went 1-for-4 with the man advantage.
The Hitmen led 2-1 after the first period and 4-2 after the second. Humphries then scored at 7:28 of the third period to give the Hitmen a three-goal lead before Nedomlel and Magnus replied for the Broncos to make it close.

Hurricanes 4 Raiders 3 (SO)
At Prince Albert, Sask., Juraj Bezuch and Philip Tot each scored in the shootout as Lethbridge beat the Raiders.
Graham Hood scored two goals for the Hurricanes (26-37-1), with Bezuch adding a single goal as well.
Anthony Bardaro contributed two goals for Prince Albert (20-37-6), with Justin Maylan also scoring once.
Rebels 3 Pats 2
At Regina, Tyson Ness had a goal and an assist to lead Red Deer to a win over the Pats.
Chad Robinson scored the winner while shorthanded for the Rebels (29-28-6), while Brooks Maxwell added a goal of his own.
Jordan Weal and Dominik Volek scored for Regina (33-24-7), both on the power play.
Oil Kings 3 Ice 1
At Cranbrook, B.C., T.J. Foster, Tyler Maxwell and Jordan Peddle scored as Edmonton defeated Kootenay.
After a scoreless first period, Foster opened the scoring for the Oil Kings (42-15-7) in the second with a slapshot that beat Ice starter Mackenzie Skapski.
The Oil Kings increased their lead in the third with goals from the slot by Maxwell, with his 37th, and Peddle, with his 10th, before the Ice (34-22-8) got a late 5-on-3 power-play goal by Max Reinhart.
Chiefs 6 Royals 1
At Victoria, Liam Stewart had two goals and Steve Kuhn added three assists as Spokane thumped the Royals.
Blake Gal, Brenden Kichton, Mike Aviani and Dominik Uher also scored for the Chiefs (35-22-7).
Steven Hodges scored for Victoria (20-38-6).
Blazers 3 Silvertips 2
At Everett, Wash., Kamloops scored the game's first three goals, then held on to defeat the Silvertips.
Matt Needham, Brendan Ranford and Brady Gaudet gave the Blazers (44-16-4) a 3-0 lead going into the third period.
Reid Petryk and Josh Winquist scored in the third for Everett (17-37-9). Petryk's was a power-play goal, while Winquist's was shorthanded.
Tigers 4 Cougars 1
At Prince George, B.C., Hunter Shinkaruk had a hat trick as Medicine Hat disposed of the Cougars.
Brendan Hurley had the other goal for the Tigers (39-21-5), while captain Emerson Etem added two assists.
Greg Fraser was the lone scorer for Prince George (19-42-2).
