WHL Roundup: A look at Saturday's games @NHLdotcom

The Swift Current Broncos ended the Moose Jaw Warriors seven-game winning streak on Saturday with a 3-2 victory in Western Hockey League action.

Shea Howorko, Trevor Cameron and Graham Black each scored for the Broncos (8-11-3).

Quinton Howden scored both goals for the Warriors (13-6-1) as Cody Beach chipped in with two assists.

Jon Groenheyde made 28 saves for the victory while Spencer Tremblay stopped 34 shots in defeat.

Moose Jaw went 1-for-4 on the power play as Swift Current scored once on six opportunities with the man advantage.

Elsewhere in the WHL, it was: Portland 4. Spokane 3 (SO); Brandon 7, Prince Albert 4; Kootenay 5, Seattle 1; Tri-City 7, Lethbridge 3; Saskatoon 5, Medicine Hat 1; Kamloops 5, Edmonton 2; Vancouver 3, Kelowna 2 (OT); Everett 3, Prince George 2 and Red Deer 7, Victoria 4.

At Swift Current, Sask., Black opened the scoring just 28 seconds into the game to give the Broncos a 1-0 lead.

Cameron scored at 1:28 of the second period, on the power play, to double Swift Current's lead and Howorko scored at 13:28 to make it 3-0.

Howden answered for the Tigers with a power-play goal at 15:10 to make it 3-1 Broncos heading into the second intermission.

Howden scored his second goal of the game at 11:41 of the third period but it was as close as Medicine Hat would come as Groenheyde turned away everything else, giving Swift Current a 3-2 victory.


Winterhawks 4 Chiefs 3 (SO)

At Portland, Ore., Ty Rattie scored twice and assisted on two others as the Winterhawks (13-7-2) beat Spokane (9-4-3).


Wheat Kings 7 Raiders 4

At Brandon, Man., Mark Stone scored two goals and added two assists as the Wheat Kings (14-6-2) beat Prince Albert (5-16-2).


Ice 5 Thunderbirds 1

At Cranbrook, B.C., Joey Leach scored two goals to lead the Ice (13-4-3) past Seattle (7-11-0).


Americans 7 Hurricanes 3

At Lethbridge, Alta., Zachary Yuen scored two goals to lift Tri-City (15-5-0) over the Hurricanes (3-17-1).


Blades 5 Tigers 1

At Medicine Hat, Alta., Matej Stransky scored two goals as Saskatoon (14-6-1) defeated the Tigers (14-6-2).


Blazers 5 Oil Kings 2

At Kamloops, B.C., the Blazers (13-6-0) received scoring from five different players as they defeated the Oil Kings (11-7-3).

Giants 3 Rockets 2 (OT)

At Vancouver, Marek Tyrdon scored 56 seconds into overtime as the Giants (12-8-1) beat Kelowna (6-11-3).


Silvertips 3 Cougars 2

At Everett, Wash., Ryan Harrison scored twice during a five-minute power play, and Austin Lotz earned his first career win as the Silvertips (5-14-3) beat Prince George (6-13-1).


Rebels 7 Royals 4

At Victoria, seven different players scored for Red Deer (14-4-1) as it defeated the Royals (10-10-1).
