Wheat Kings take 2-0 series lead with 4-1 victory over Kootenay @NHLdotcom

BRANDON, Man. - Andrew Clark and Matt Lowry scored a goal and an assist each as the Brandon Wheat Kings posted a 4-1 win over the Kootenay Ice in the Western Hockey League on Saturday night.

Aaron Lewadniuk and Scott Glennie, with an empty-netter, also scored for the Wheat Kings, who took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarter-final. Colby Robak assisted on two Brandon goals.

Dominik Pacovsky replied for the Ice, who will host Game 3 on Tuesday in Cranbrook, B.C.

Brandon netminder Andrew Hayes made 25 saves, while Todd Mathews stopped 27 shots for Kootenay.
