Wheat Kings score four in third period to defeat Everett 5-2 @NHLdotcom

EVERETT, Wash. - The Brandon Wheat Kings used four straight third-period goals to defeat the Everett Silvertips 5-2 Saturday night in Western Hockey League action.

Brandon trailed 2-1 heading into the third period, but two goals by Jay Fehr, one by Matt Calvert and an empty-netter by Scott Glennie helped the Wheat Kings swamp the Silvertips in the final 20 minutes.

Toni Rajala also scored and Andrew Hayes made 24 saves in goal for Brandon (8-6-1).

Byron Froese and Zack Dailey scored for Everett (6-4-0). Kent Simpson stopped 29 shots in goal for the Silvertips.
