What editors say about CP's male athlete of the year @NHL

Already loaded with trophies and awards for a spectacular season, Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price has dominated once again. He won the Lionel Conacher Award as The Canadian Press male athlete of the year in a landslide, collecting 53 per cent of the votes cast by sports editors and broadcasters across the country. Here are some of their quotes:

"Arguably the best goalie in the world had arguably his best individual season stopping pucks in what is inarguably the most-followed sport in his home country. Yep, that's an easy choice." ? Sean Rooney, Sports Editor, Medicine Hat News

"Really excellent choices among very young athletes, including Connor McDavid, Andrew Wiggins and Andre De Grasse. But in a team game, Price was often the most dominant individual by a longshot. It's not even close ? and think of those other guys' accomplishments!" ? Jonathan McDonald, Sports Editor, Vancouver Province.

"Carey Price's award-winning season was one for the ages. It will be years before his NHL trophy haul will be repeated by any other player." ? Marcel Vander Wier, Sports Editor, Whitehorse Star.

"Carey Price dominated his sport like few others have done before him." Pierre Champoux, digital director for Radio-Canada.

"The guy who saved the face of the Montreal Canadiens and who could bring the Stanley Cup back to Montreal in 2016.'' Patrick White, managing editor, Huffington Post Quebec.
