Samuel Morneau had three goals and an assist Wednesday as the Val-d'Or Foreurs won their 500th Quebec Major Junior Hockey League game in franchise history, 5-3 over the Rimouski Oceanic.

Jean-Francois Leblanc and Alexandre Quesnel also scored for the Foreurs (19-28-6), who entered the QMJHL at the start of the 1993-94 season. Raffaele D'Orso made 20 saves.

Elsewhere, Moncton downed P.E.I. 6-1 and Quebec edged Montreal 5-3.

At Val-d'Or,Que., Alex Emond, Patrick Delisle-Houde and Gleason Fournier scored for the Oceanic (25-21-6), while Philippe Tremblay stopped 26 shots.

Wildcats 6 Rocket 1

At Charlottetown, Marek Hrivik scored twice to lead Moncton over P.E.I.

Ted Stephens, Alex Saulnier, Olivier Daoust and Scott Brannon also scored for the Wildcats (36-12-4).

Adam Polasek replied for the Rocket (29-19-6).

Remparts 5 Junior 3

At Quebec City, Marc-Olivier Vallerand scored twice as the Remparts beat Montreal.

Dmitri Kugryshev, Dominic Savoie and Mikhail Stefanovich also scored for Quebec (32-14-7).

Jeremy Gouchie, Guillaume Asselin and Chris Thorne replied for Montreal (24-22-5).
