Tomas Kubalik scored twice including the game-winner with just under two minutes left as the Victoriaville Tigres edged the Lewiston Maineiacs 4-3 on Wednesday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Kubalik broke a 3-3 tie with his 11th goal of the season, coming on the power play at 18:15 in the third. He also scored at 12:48 of the second to even the game 2-2.
Joel Chouinard scored the other two goals for Victoriaville (16-7-1), his first at 9:05 of the second pulling the Tigres to with one and his second early in the third to tie the score 3-3.
Pierre-Olivier Morin scored twice and Alexis Piette added another for Lewiston (10-11-0), which had a 2-0 lead going into the second period.
In Wednesday's night other QMJHL game, the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies downed Val-d'Or Foreurs 5-3.
At Victoriaville, Que., Maineiacs goalie Jordan Kennedy suffered the loss despite delivering a 40-save performance.
Kevin Poulin stopped 27 of 30 shots for Victoriaville, which capitalized twice on eight power play opportunities.

At Val-d'Or, Que., Jerome Gauthier-Leduc scored the eventual game winner in the third period as Rouyn-Noranda downed Val-d'Or.
Jeff Desjardins, Christophe Losier, Gabriel O'Connor and Philippe Cornet each had goals for the Huskies (12-11-3).
Samuel Morneau, Anthony Taylor and Matthieu Theriault replied for the Foreurs (7-15-2).
