The Erie Otters scored seven unanswered goals after falling behind 2-1 in their 8-2 rout of the Owen Sound Attack in Ontario Hockey League play Wednesday.
Mike Cazzola's hat trick, Greg McKegg's four assists and Derek Holden's two goals and an assist led the way for the Otters.
Shawn Szydlowski added a goal and two assists to extend his career-high point streak to 10 games, while Andrew Yogan and Anthony Luciani also scored. Zack Torquato added two assists.
Garrett Wilson and Myles Doan scored for Owen Sound.
Erie (30-24-7) has won nine of its last 12 games to remain tied for fifth in the Western Conference standings with Sault Ste. Marie. The Attack, which is battling Guelph for the conference's final playoff spot, fell to 26-29-7.
Elsewhere in the OHL: Mississauga St. Michael's 4 Belleville 2; Kingston 7 Oshawa 4; Sault Ste. Marie 6 Saginaw 3.
At Erie, Pa., the Attack greeted Erie goaltender Adam Courchaine, who had two shutouts in three games last week, by taking a 1-0 lead 4:47 into the first period when Doan pushed a rebound past Courchaine.
The Otters outshot the Attack 12-7 in the period but couldn't solve Owen Sound goaltender Scott Stajcer.
However, the Otters' fortunes changed in the second period. Holden scored on the power play 4:22 into the period to tie the score at 1-1.
After Wilson snapped the tie on the man advantage at the 8:15 mark, Cazzola deflected Holden's point shot past Stajcer to tie the score at 2-2 with 7:56 left in the period.
Less than two minutes later, Yogan gave the Otters a 3-2 lead.
Cazzola added his second goal 53 seconds into the third for a 4-2 lead. Szydlowski followed with his 18th goal of the season with 10:20 left before the Otters scored three more in the period for an 8-2 final.
Majors 4 Bulls 2
At Belleville, Ont., Devante Smith-Pelly scored the winner for Mississauga St. Michael's in its win over the Bulls.
Riley Brace, Rob Flick and T.J. Battani also scored for the Majors (38-16-6).
Andy Bathgate and Luke Judson replied for the Bulls (18-35-7).
Frontenacs 7 Oshawa 4
At Oshawa, Ont., the Frontenacs scored three unanswered goals in the third period in their win over the Generals.
Alan Quine scored the final goal with 5:56 remaining to complete a hat trick for the Frontenacs (30-26-4), who won their third straight game.
Taylor Doherty and Joe Pleckaitis added a goal and an assist each, while Kaine Geldart and Michael Fine scored the other Kingston goals.
Jeff Brown scored twice for the Generals (22-33-5), who had just ended a 10-game winless streak on Sunday and led 4-3 late in the second period.
Greyhounds 6 Spirit 3
At Saginaw, Mich., Sault Ste. Marie scored four times in the first period to beat the Spirit.
Brett Thompson lead the way for the Greyhounds with two goals and Brandon Archibald added a goal and two assists. Michael Quesnele and Jordan Nolan also added a goal and an assist.
Tomas Rachunek rounded out the scoring for Sault Ste. Marie (31-24-5).
Saginaw's Tyler Murovich had a goal and an assist, while Jordan Hill and Ivan Telegin also scored for the Spirit (29-25-6).
