Wednesday news roundup @NHLdotcom
Devils sign Mair -- New Jersey signed former Buffalo forward Adam Mair, who had been with the team in training camp. The 31-year-old will make his debut for the Devils against his own team in Buffalo on Wednesday night.

The Devils also assigned forward Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond to Albany of the AHL after he cleared waivers. Leblond sat out Monday's loss to Pittsburgh after being suspended one game for instigating a fight in the final five minutes of Saturday's game at Washington.

Rangers demote Kennedy -- The New York Rangers sent center Tim Kennedy to Hartford of the AHL after scratching him for their first two games.

The Rangers signed the 24-year-old this summer after he was waived by the Buffalo Sabres. That came after Kennedy was awarded a salary of $1 million in arbitration after a rookie season in which he had 10 goals and 16 assists.

Coyotes add affiliate -- Phoenix has signed an affiliation agreement with the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League, allowing the Coyotes to send players to the AA-level team, based in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

"We are excited to announce our affiliation agreement with the Arizona Sundogs," assistant GM Brad Treliving said. "We look forward to working with the Sundogs as we collectively continue to grow the game of hockey throughout the state of Arizona. We look forward to building a great relationship."
