Wedgewood makes 42 saves to lead the Whalers over the Wolves 4-1 @NHLdotcom

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Scott Wedgewood stopped 42 shots, earning the game's first star, as the Plymouth Whalers defeated the visiting Sudbury Wolves 4-1 on Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Stefan Noesen, J.T. Miller, Garrett Meurs and Alex Aleardi each had a goal for the Whalers (39-17-3).

Josh McFadden scored the lone goal for the Wolves (31-22-5).

Michael Sgarbossa picked up an assist on McFadden's goal which extended his point streak to 14 games.

Joel Vienneau turned away 29 shots in a losing effort.

Plymouth failed to score on two opportunities with the power play as Sudbury went 1 for 6.
