Weal's four points help Regina rub out Red Deer 7-3 for third straight win @NHLdotcom

REGINA - Jordan Weal recorded a goal and three assists to help the Regina Pats rub out the Red Deer Rebels 7-3 in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

The Pats (4-4-0-0) have now won three straight, scoring 22 goals in that span. Recent Red Deer (3-4-0-0) acquisition Andrej Kudrna, picked up Tuesday from the Vancouver Giants, scored power-play markers in each period to record a hat trick and his team's only goals. The rest was all Regina.

Matt Delahey got things started for the Pats with just 18 seconds left in the first when his point shot hit something in front and beat Red Deer goalie Kraymer Barnstable. Weal assisted on the goal.

In the second Weal added a goal and two more assists, Leffler scored his fourth of the season and Delahey picked up his second of the night with a big blast from the point. Jordan Eberle assisted on Delahey's goal. Eberle and linemates Weal and Leffler have now combined for 11 goals and 25 points in their last three games.

Heading into the third with a 4-2 lead, Regina's top lines took a breather and watched as its third and fourth lines pitched in for two more goals in the first two minutes. Getting in on the action was Kyle Mulder and Michal Poletin. With 15 seconds to go, third-liner Graham Hood added one more for Regina, his first of the year.

Dawson Guhle made 32 saves for the Pats, while Red Deer netminder Kraymer Barnstable took the loss.
