EDMONTON - Jordan Weal scored twice, including the game winner with only one second remaining in the third period, to lead the Regina Pats to a 6-5 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Sunday in Western Hockey League action.
Colton Jobke also scored two goals for Regina (19-15-3) while Lyndon Martell and Andrew Rieder added singles. Morgan Klimchuk and Brandon Davidson each had three assists while Kyle Burroughs chipped in with two of his own.
Dylan Wruck led Edmonton's (23-9-3) offence with a goal and an assist as Griffin Reinhart, Klarc Wilson, Curtis Lazar and Mitchell Moroz had a goal apiece.
Matt Hewitt made 33 saves for the win while Laurent Brossoit allowed all six goals on 23 shots in defeat.
The Pats went 1-for-3 on the power play as the Oil Kings scored twice on five opportunities with the man advantage.
The loss snapped Edmonton's run of 15 straight wins on home ice.
