Watters with two goals to lead the Battalion over the Generals 6-2 @NHLdotcom

Ian Watters scored two goals as the Brampton Battalion defeated the visiting Oshawa Generals 6-2 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Philip Lane scored a goal and set up two more for the Battalion (23-10-7), Sam Carrick and Brett Mackie had a goal and an assist each while Matt MacLeod added a single goal.

Scott Laughton and Christian Thomas had a goal and an assist apiece for the Generals (18-19-4), who had their winning streak snapped at five games.

Matej Machovsky made 26 saves for the win as Daniel Altshuller stopped 39 shots in defeat.

Brampton went 2 for 4 on the power play while Oshawa failed to score on their only chance with the man advantage.

The Battalion have now picked up points in 12 straight games and sit two behind the Ottawa 67's for first in the Eastern Conference.
