Watson with a goal and an assist to lift the Petes over the Spitfires 3-1

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Austin Watson had a goal and an assist to lead the Peterborough Petes to a 3-1 win over the Windsor Spitfires on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Matt Puempel and Andrew Yogan added singles as the Petes (13-7-3) stayed within one point of the Ottawa 67's for top spot in the Eastern Conference.

Zack McQueen scored the only goal for the Spitfires (11-12-3).

Andrew D'Agostini made 23 saves for the win while John Cullen stopped 42 shots in defeat.

Peterborough went 1-for-5 on the power play as Windsor failed to score on their two opportunities with the man advantage.
