Washington, Philadelphia play Game 7 tonight

-- The Washington Capitals host the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Quarter-final tonight (7 p.m., ET, VERSUS, TSN), kicking off an exciting doubleheader to conclude the first round of the postseason. At 10 p.m., ET, the San Jose Sharks host the Calgary Flames in Game 7 of the Western Conference Quarter-final (VERSUS, CBC, RIS, NHL Radio).

The Capitals are attempting to successfully overcome a 3-1 series deficit for the second time in franchise history and the first since 1988, when Dale Hunter's overtime goal gave Washington a 5-4 victory over the Flyers in Game 7 of the Patrick Division Semifinal.

Teams have trailed 3-1 in a best-of-seven series a total of 226 times and have come back to win the series on 20 occasions.
