Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie will play against the Boston Bruins at Verizon Center on Wednesday (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, TVA Sports, NHL.TV) after missing seven games with a shoulder injury, coach Barry Trotz said.
Oshie was a full participant in practice Tuesday and was on a line with left wing Marcus Johansson and center Nicklas Backstrom at the morning skate Wednesday.

"Sometimes it depends on the individual, it depends on the healing process, it depends on how their body can handle the strain of being hurt and how it fixes and repairs itself," Trotz said. "Right now all indications is that [Oshie] is ready to go. I have to trust our trainers and doctors and, more important, I have to trust the player. And the player feels like he's ready to go."
Oshie has eight goals and 12 points in 17 games. The Capitals were 3-3-1 without him in the lineup.
"He's been missed a lot in the atmosphere in the locker room," captain Alex Ovechkin told the Washington Post on Tuesday. "You know, when we was on the road, he's texting us. He's a big part of our group, one of the leaders and a great teammate. It's nice to have him back. He's a big part of our success."
