Washington Capitals fans wanted a win in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference First Round against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.

Once that was secured, in the final seconds of a 6-0 victory, they wanted something else: forward T.J. Oshie.

Fans chanted for the popular forward, who sustained an upper-body injury in Game 4 and is out indefinitely.
Oshie, however, did what he could to impact Game 5. He took to Twitter to thank fans, announce he was in good hands and then implore them to go wild all game long.

It worked. And the forward was pretty thrilled about it after the game.

But the chant wasn't the only Oshie tribute of the night.
Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan pulled out Oshie's move, chugging a beverage through a jersey, earlier in the night.
Oshie, of course, approved.

For his homage, Kerrigan was named fan of the game. But it was probably a team effort.
