Burakovsky scored the game-winner on a wrist shot from below the face-off circle.
"I just felt really good in the morning skate this morning and in the warmup," Burakovsky said. "I had a really good feeling going into this game."

Alexander Radulov gave Dallas a 3-2 lead at 15:53 of the third period, but Brett Connolly tied it 3-3 41 seconds later with an assist from Burakovsky.
"It was really deflating," Stars defenseman Dan Hamhuis said. "We were obviously quite pumped up after [Radulov] scored to go ahead that late in the game. That's where you really want to close those games out, ensure that you get the two points. It was a big blow for sure."
Burakovsky gave Washington a 1-0 lead at 10:35 of the first period on a wrist shot. Connolly set up the goal with a backhand pass on the rush before Burakovsky scored his second goal of the season, his first since Oct. 20. He returned Dec. 8 from a thumb injury.
"It was nice to see Burky back on the goal-scoring sort of chart," Capitals coach Barry Trotz said. "I'd say he was probably pressing a little bit the last couple games, so it was good to get him a couple. I thought we just got contributions from the whole lineup, which was good."

Jamie Benn tied it 1-1 on the power play at 15:14. John Klingberg took a point shot that Benn tipped in the slot.
Gemel Smith gave Dallas a 2-1 lead at 11:09 of the second period when he scored on his rebound.
Dmitry Orlov tied it 2-2 on an individual rush at 13:12. The defenseman carried the puck into the zone, deked around Klingberg and beat Ben Bishop before the goalie reached out with a poke check.
"That's a world-class play," Burakovsky said. "There is not a lot of guys in this league that can do that against a guy like John Klingberg. I mean, he's a top defenseman in this league and really skilled. It's just amazing to see, and tie the game too, awesome and really happy for him. Just fun to watch."

They said it

"I just tried to jump in the rush, and I was kind of a little bit tired and [I wanted to] push myself and get a chance, and I thought, like, let's do something and make a move. And it worked at the time and scored a big goal." -- Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov
"The third goal shouldn't have gone in. We got beat on the boards three times. Puck was in the net because of it. We didn't have awareness away from the puck. We had earned the right to finish the game off strong. We got beat off the boards twice and he made a play. Game over." -- Stars coach Ken Hitchcock
