Warriors take 2-0 series lead over Hitmen; Bast has pair of goals @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Jason Bast scored twice, including the winner, to lead the Moose Jaw Warriors to a 4-1 win over the Calgary Hitmen in Western Hockey League playoff action Saturday night.

Dylan Hood scored once and set up another for the Warriors, who will host the second and third games of the series on Monday and Tuesday at the Moose Jaw Civic Centre. Antonin Honejsek also scored, while Thomas Frazee chipped in with a pair of assists.

Kris Foucault counted the lone goal of the game for the Hitmen.

Moose Jaw goalie Jeff Bosch stopped 30 shots for his second straight playoff victory. At the other end of the ice, Calgary netminder Martin Jones made 25 saves in a losing cause.

With the win, Moose Jaw jumped out to a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven series against Calgary. The Hitmen finished atop the WHL standings in the regular season with 107 points, 29 ahead of the Warriors.
