Wahl, Reddington score in second period as Spokane blanks Tri-City 4-0 @NHLdotcom

SPOKANE, Wash. - Mitch Wahl and Mike Reddington scored in the second period and Levko Koper added an insurance goal in the third as the Spokane Chiefs defeated the U.S. Division-rival Tri-City Americans 4-0 on Saturday night.

Seth Compton added a shorthanded, empty-net goal with two minutes left to go in the game. Prior to the game, the Chiefs dropped their Western Hockey League and Memorial Cup championship banners in front of a Spokane Arena crowd of 10,538.

Chiefs goalie Dustin Tokarski stopped all 31 Tri-City shots in his second shutout of the season, while Americans netminder Chet Pickard made 15 saves in his first game of the season since being returned from NHL camp with the Nashville Predators.
