Kevin Poulin made history as the Victoriaville Tigres rolled to a win Sunday afternoon.
Poulin made 17 saves as Victoriaville dumped the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 7-1 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
The win was Poulin's 75th win with the Tigres, surpassing Mathieu Garon's franchise record. Garon currently plays for the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets.
Poulin is 29-14 this season, and was named the QMJHL defensive player of the week on Feb. 8th.
He has five shutouts so far this season and a 2.70 GAA and a .913 save percentage entering Sunday's game.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was Cape Breton 4 Saint John 2; Rimouski 2 Halifax 1; Lewiston 4 Quebec 2 and Rouyn-Noranda 4 Montreal 3.
At Chicoutimi, Que., Emmanuel Boudreau, Joel Champagne and Tomas Kubalik all had a goal and an assist for Victoriaville (38-17-2), while Guillaume Goulet, Brandon Hynes, Yanni Gourde and Travis McIsaac all chipped in as well.
Emrik Guillemette was the lone scorer for the Sagueneens (22-26-8).
Screaming Eagles 4 Sea Dogs 2
At Saint John, N.B., Jacob Lagace had the short-handed winner as Cape Breton doubled the Sea Dogs.
Luke Adam had his 40th for the Screaming Eagles (32-20-5), while Kalin Paul and Nick MacNeil also scored.
Will Johnson had his first ever QMJHL goal and Jonathan Huberdeau also tallied for Saint John (46-9-1).
Oceanic 2 Mooseheads 1
At Rimouski, Que., Mathieu Loisel scored the winner with 2:18 left as the Oceanic rallied past Halifax.
Felix Lefrancois had the other goal for Rimouski (29-22-6).
Alex Lemieux was the lone scorer for the Mooseheads (13-39-5).
Maineiacs 4 Remparts 2
At Lewiston, Maine, Michael Chaput had the power-play winner as the Maineiacs doubled Quebec.
Jess Tanguy, Matthew Bissonnette and Matt Boyle also found the back of the net for Lewiston (20-34-3).
Etienne St-Germain and Ryan Bourque replied for the Remparts (35-16-7).
Huskies 4 Junior 3
At Verdun, Que., Sergey Ostapchuk lifted Rouyn-Noranda over Montreal with his third-period winner.
Steven Delisle, Jordan Caron and Jerome Gauthier-Leduc also tallied for the Huskies (34-20-5).
Jeremy Gouchie had a pair of goals for the Junior (25-25-5) while Louis-Marc Aubry added a marker.
