CALGARY - Victor Rask scored twice to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 5-1 win over the Prince George Cougars in Western Hockey League action Friday.
Calder Brooks had a goal and an assist for the Hitmen (25-17-3), whose eight-game winning streak ended on Wednesday with a 5-1 loss on home ice to the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Joe Kornelsen and Alex Gogolev also scored, while Brady Brassart and Spencer Humphries had two assists each.
Jordan Tkatch scored the lone goal of the game for the Cougars (15-28-2), who lost their second straight game.
Calgary netminder Chris Driedger made 18 saves in his first start since backstopping the Hitmen to a 6-4 win in Vancouver over the Giants on Jan. 4.
Meanwhile Prince George goalie Drew Owsley stopped 39-of-44 shots.
The Hitmen went 2 for 8 with the man advantage, while the Cougars failed to score on seven power-play opportunities.
